DREAMS OF RENO [COMING SOON]
Painted on a a grand canvas standing 4 feet tall and stretching an impressive 11 feet wide, capturing the dynamic spirit of Reno’s community. Each stroke of the brush narrates a tale. This monumental artwork isn’t just a visual feast; it’s an immersive celebration of the people who weave Reno’s cultural fabric. Carefully designed to be segmented into individual 12-inch squares, each piece becomes a unique fragment of the larger mosaic. With every square sold, a personal touch is added. Whether it’s a photograph representing the buyer or a photo of an object symbolizing them, each purchase becomes a tribute to the individuals shaping Reno’s community.

THE PACIFIC REGION THROUGH AI EYES AND EARS
This piece was a collection of 24 large 8K images and soundscapes exhibited within a unique space provided by the NTT Innovation Center in San Francisco. It was part of an exhibition for the “The Future Starts in California” track of the APEC conference.
OH MY DIEBENKORN
There has been a proliferation of AI art generators, chatbots, composers, and so on. As a technologist and artist, I find the discussion about bots replacing humans interesting. With ‘Oh My Diebenkorn,’ I set up a number of thought experiments to explore human relationships with art, using AI bots to expose the beauty and variety of our many perceived experiences.

While AI art generators can produce many variations of an image, they still need human artists to provide input and imbue the final artwork with meaning and emotion. The experiment emphasizes the importance of understanding art’s intricacies, and using those observations to guide the AI algorithms. The relationship between technology and art is constantly changing and requires an appreciation of the possibilities..
