Ann was my great-grandmother (my father’s father’s mother). When I knew her, she was married to my great-grandfather Joe and they lived in a two story home on the main street of a small town (with a population of about 300) called Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. They had 4 children. The oldest was my grandfather. The youngest died in a military truck accident just before I was born. I was named after him. Ann was kind, welcoming, sweet, nurturing, and loving. She was always happy to see us. She also made the best spaghetti and meatballs every Sunday. My cousin called her “grandma spaghetti”.
