She was my advisor in college, also battling breast cancer. She took a semester off then returned my senior year. She took me and 3 other students on a road trip to the International Fiber Arts convention that summer, where we encountered a tornado. Memorable event was her declaring comfort over looks, and whipping off her wig in the middle of a restaurant.
