DREAMS OF RENO

About

Dreams of Reno is a tribute to the greater Reno area, capturing some of the many wonderful things that make the region unique.  Created in early 2024 during the boom of AI and AI art engines the piece hopes to encourage the viewer to question their presumptions about technology, ownership and authenticity.  The core of the piece is the digital master file.  The master file was crafted by combining approximately 50 images rendered by AI art engines into a single composition.  The collection of art pieces hope to encourage the viewer to question their presumptions about ownership and authenticity.

July 13, 2024- Dancing in the Streets

I will be showing a projection of the master digital file enabling passers by to examine.  I will have prints for sale of individual characters from within the master as well as a few other fun promotional items.

September 12-15 – Reno Tahoe International Art Festival

I will be showing two identical oil paintings representing the digital master, painted by an artisan Dafen China each measuring 4 feet tall and stretching an impressive 11 feet wide.  One of the paintings will be cut into 48 squares live at the Reno Tahoe International Art festival, each piece will be sold individually, creating unique fragments of the larger mosaic.  With every square sold a photograph representing the buyer will be collected.  Future exhibitions will feature the images of the individuals who are participating in the project.

Carrie reserves the right to artfully manifest the digital master into any number of physical objects that represent the piece and could be sold individually.  This is Digital Art in the Age of Physical Manifestation.
