Portrait of a Woman

When I graduated from college, the recruiters who came on campus did not have to talk to women. With the help of the Assistant Guidance Counselor, I signed up to talk to any company who would interview women. One of those companies was Kemper Insurance. They were looking for computer programmers, I was a humanities major. They convinced me to take the Programming Aptitude test, and I did very well. They offered me a job — the rest is history, many, many years in Tech.
